Mahindra’s Pik-Up Range ‘Made in SA’
With its range of robust, great-value-for-money vehicles it comes as no surprise that Mahindra has become one of the six best-selling brands in South Africa. Now the Indian car manufacturer is solidifying its roots in South African soil and has begun trial production of its Pik-Up range at a new assembly plant near Durban. “Assembly of the Pik-Up is an important step in the company’s long-term plan to increase employment, local sourcing and content, as well as develop the assembly facility.”, said Mahindra’s CEO, Rajesh Gupta.
