Mahindra XUV500 Petrol Model Under Development
We've got some exciting news for all those Mahindra enthusiasts who have been asking for a petrol variant of the flagship XUV500. Hold onto your hats - the auto manufacturer is currently developing a petrol unit that will be based on the engine block that currently houses the powerful mHawk 2.2-litre diesel engine! Power output details are yet to be revealed, but we already know that there will be a choice of either a manual or automatic gearbox, and that the upcoming XUV500 petrol model will also be offered in a new G-spec variant. Launch dates are still shrouded in mystery, but as soon as we know if and when the XUV500 petrol model will hit South African shores we’ll rally the troops, so watch this space! Interested? Read more
